Would you like extra support during pregnancy, birth, or after your baby arrives?
Kansas Birth Justice Society helps connect families with student doulas in our Catalyst Doula Training program. Student doulas are completing their training and gaining experience supporting families.
A doula can listen, help you prepare, offer comfort and encouragement, and support you in asking questions and expressing your wishes.
Doulas do not provide medical care or replace your doctor, midwife, or nurse.
What kind of support are you looking for?
You can request support during pregnancy, labor and birth, or the time after birth. Tell us what would be helpful, where you are located, and when you expect to need support.
The support available will depend on the student’s location, availability, and stage of training. You and your student doula will agree on the services and hours before you begin working together.
What does it cost?
Some families need complimentary support, which means support at no cost. Others can pay something toward their doula’s services. This form welcomes both.
Tell us what works for you. You do not need to explain your finances or provide proof of income.
Any payment must be discussed and agreed on before services begin.
How does it work?
- Fill out the interest form.
- We use your answers to look for students who may be a good fit.
- If someone is available, you can connect and decide whether you want to work together.
- You and the student agree on the type of support, timing, and any payment.
Submitting a form does not guarantee a match. You choose whether to work with a student, and you can decline a connection.
