I’m a social worker by education. I’ve spent the last 14 years working with low-income families to empower and encourage sustainability and health literacy. I became interested in birth work when I began working on a project to reduce infant mortality. I realized that many families do not realize all of the decisions that they have to make before, during and after birth. And that they do, and should, have a say in all of these decisions. I want to help folks make informed choices that will enhance their birth experience and bring a healthy person into the world safely.

Having a passion for birthwork and helping women of all walks is something I’ve always felt called to pursue. Through the guidance of God , I was able to certify as a full spectrum doula, study womb health and become a licensed massage therapist. To serve wellness to my community, I offer all my services here on this platform. From doula packages, to therapeutic massages, yoni steams/ womb health, and other supportive services.
A woman’s experience of childbirth can set her up for success , especially if it’s in a fruitful environment where she can prosper and set her seeds up for success. Lady Charde Lenoir-Howard, a devoted wife, mother of three, and a friend to many, has always had a nurturing heart. Her personal journey through motherhood ignited a passion for becoming a doula, recognizing that each pregnancy is a unique miracle and life-changing event. In her leisure, she indulges in baking, reading, and writing poetry, bringing warmth and creativity into her home. Her commitment to serving her community is both humbling and inspiring. Lady eagerly assists families to feel confident, empowered, and valued throughout their birth experience. She strongly believes that effective parenting, which begins with pregnancy and birth, has the power to better our world.
As a birth doula, her joy lies in witnessing women become confident and ecstatic about the birth and early parenting of their children. She encourages parents to confront their fears and anxieties, empowering them to make choices that feel right for their family. As Maya Angelou once said, “When you know better, you do better.” This philosophy guides Lady’s work, helping parents create realistic expectations for their birth and parenting experiences. She truly believes that happiness blooms from meeting these realistic expectations.

I am an experienced Registered Nurse and Certified Birth, Bereavement and Adoption Doula serving the Kansas City area. I am a wife of 16 years and mother to four children of my own through a blend of my own births and adoption. I am Catholic, Christian and Pro-Life and these beliefs guide my practice as I serve families in the most dignified way. I am a bereaved mama myself and my own experience along with my 15 years of work in the Emergency Room have led me to my true passion of supporting moms and families in one of the most sacred times of their lives.
