Katie Miles (she/her) is a doula & educator who has served numerous families beginning their parenting journeys. She became a doula because she passionately believes in supporting human rights in childbirth, educating families, supporting parent & infant mental health, and helping families to have a more positive pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum experience.
Since 2015, Katie has been helping families to achieve the birth they want, care for their babies (and themselves!), and to get better sleep! She strives to provide the education, options, and resources that new parents are seeking in order to empower themselves.

About me
Ashley Haden-Peaches (she/her) is a social worker by education. She has spent the last 14 years working with low-income families to empower and encourage sustainability and health literacy. She became interested in birthwork when she began working on a project to reduce infant mortality. She realizes that many families do not realize all of the decisions that they have to make before, during, and after birth, and that they do, and should, have a say in all of these decisions. She wants to help folks make informed choices that will enhanced their birth experience and bring a healthy person into the world safely.

Hannah Biang (she/her) has been a birth doula for 7 years (2023). She is passionate about families being equiped to make decisions. She loves working through questions and helping prepare the family for labor. She talks through comfort measures and exercises that can be done prenatally and during labor. She is trained in Spinning Babies. Overall, she is honored to be a doula and truly loves the connection made with families.

I am so happy you’re here! A little about me…I was born and raised in Kansas, and currently live right outside of Wichita. I’m married to my best friend, and loving our little life together. I am a Registered Nurse, a certified First Aid/CPR Instructor, Safe Sleep Instructor, and Birth Doula. I am beyond excited to serve Kansas families as Gentle Heart Doula Care! I’m Channa, a Michif woman whom grew up in Arizona with deep cultural connection to Mexico. I am bilingual and serve my community however needed, as able. I am an advocate for parental rights and bodily autonomy. I am a mother of six; four of whom were born at home unassisted. I am passionate about reconnecting and reclaiming traditional practices. I am an abolitionist and fierce protector of women and children. I look forward to serving my community.

About me
The essence of being a doula for me lies in the belief that mothers are inherently made for childbirth, and my role is to provide unwavering support to facilitate this natural process. One of the aspects I love most about being a doula is the opportunity to advocate for mothers. It brings me immense joy to be the voice that ensures their desires and preferences are respected throughout the birthing experience. This involves fostering open communication and understanding, not only with the healthcare team but also with the mother’s partner, if present. I strive to incorporate holistic practices that align with a mother’s preferences, whether it be relaxation techniques, aromatherapy, or other complementary methods. This commitment to holistic care extends beyond childbirth, encompassing the post-partum period, where I continue to offer emotional and practical support to aid in the transition to motherhood. In essence, my journey as a doula is guided by a deep respect for the innate strength of mothers, a cultural appreciation for the holistic well-being of the mother and child, and an unwavering commitment to advocating for the mother’s wishes.
